Last time we went above freezing was Jan 24. So far in Feb we have been below 20. Life goes on despite the freezing temps.

The station is not in the front porch... it's on the balcony on the back... the one with the gorgeous views of the forest and the Chugach Mountains

There is a shortage of film here and only one place that can develop them... so yeah, it's going to be a bit slow until I can source some.

Y'all are lucky that I found a roll of Kodachrome and they still offer 1 hr film development at the local camera shop...

Here's a view of the weather station. It's been snowing since like 11AM.

Can't see the mountains today with all those clouds. The chickadees that live in that forest have not been very active today. I've seen only one make it to the feeders.

@sandman : To be fair, y'all up there, are ready and used to cold weather! Our pipes aren't our construction isn't, it pretty much a mess here, if we get a hard freeze! (You know that, lol!)
