They're focusing on the lake and the dam area, but the day Audrii disappeared, I remember reading somewhere that the dam was open and letting water run because of all the rain we had a week and a half ago. The Trinity River is very dangerous due to this and has a VERY fast current when the dam is open to allow water flow.

The area they are searching is usually frequented by fisherman looking to catch some catfish. It is usually one of the busier areas. The dam isn't far from the state park either. I have a bad feeling about the child not being with us anymore and pray for her family. Poor sweet girl it's heartbreaking 💔

Latest news conference: that sex offender lived in a trailer behind Audrii!s house. The dad let him take her to bus stop regularly. Thats why they looked at him right away.

This is so sad. It doesn't look good for this little girl. Praying for her.

Update: Despite DPS being very elusive about this situation, we have learnt today that Steve McDougal admitted to have been with Audrii in the morning on the day of her disappearance. Further details were not released, other than the fact there are still no signs of her. Let me remind everyone of the other details; Steve is a violent offender, and Audrii never made it on her bus that morning. There is CCTV footage of Steven's vehicle passing by where Audrii's bus stop is located that morning, instead of stopping at the bus stop. Authorities found a wet backpack confirmed that of a child's next to the river as well as other items of interest. The dam was opened for a few days due to recent rain to drain Lake Livingston, causing the Trinity River flow to be rapid and have a rip current almost (people have had near drowning encounters as well as other very unfortunate people who have actually drowned in the Trinity.)

@Ryboo: it's obvious he did it but they have to have that concrete evidence or he runs free. I hate this but for some reason I can usually tell if a child is lost or gone. I could say I feel she's still with us like every other day me before her but I knew when I heard the first amber alert.

I have the same ability, typically because I usually look at an area the child was last seen and count the hours they're missing. Usually by the 24 hour mark, they're almost always likely dead and if it's been more than a week, they're not going to be found. I started to be able to tell these things because of the pattern and evidence that involves these cases. Sometimes I can be like "They might still be out there, but not where we'd expect", but in the case of Audrii I just… I really do not think she's here anymore. It's been 5 days, humans can only survive 3 days without liquids. There's no sign of her at all that's giving any more leads on her case and the area she disappeared in has dangerous potential because of the dam and the fact there's gators. We had freezing temperatures the past few nights. If she is out there alive somewhere it's by some miracle.

So sad, guys.

Devastating news for her family. I have an 11 y/o granddaughter and I can't even imagine.
