I don't know what's worse: the person who posted there was free food or the crazies who got out in the cold weather and caused a traffic jam because they believed it was true.

That is sad and insane. People could get assistance from a food bank if they are truly in need.

@Reese : I was thinking more the people who posted "free food" were *****s more or less. If HEB was going to give away a bunch of food, they would not throw it in big ol dumpsters and let people scavage through to find what they need in the trash. But then again, they might have posted it thinking they were doing it to help others out who need it. Food Banks help when they can and when the weather isn't freezing like that, so these people probably really needed it. I've worked with the food bank here and you'll be surprised how often I get emails and stuff from them saying they need donations because they're running low or don't have enough etc.
