That's near Matagorda right? I would definitely bring food. When we went it was slim pickings and I've always found stores near the beach to be pricier.

any time i have a fully equipped kitchen at my destination i take or grab groceries there. if there is a local establishment i want to try out, i just bring that meal's ingredients back with me .. when possible. i would be loaded with food going, looking at the map it doesn't look like there are even grocery stores there. Maybe pick up in Bay city if you pass through there

i would also inventory local liqqa sto's so you know before you go

Last time we went to Port Aransas I stopped at a nearby HEB and everything was way marked up. Milk was nearly double the price, I was very annoyed with myself.
