Getting a lower rate and pulling out 30k to pay off some debt and will basically end up evening out in the end as if I didn't do anything. 😁

I tried yesterday and seems by the time I add in closing costs, it negates savings. 😕

i skipped doing one a few years earlier. Found out the same thing. If you can't save more than 10k with the refinance then it isn't worth doing for a lower payment or lower cost per life of loan.

@realtor_nancy : Does anyone on here have any experience with IRRRL for vets?? Financed my home through Veterans United and they said to watch interest rates and check IRRRL out if they went down.

I have noticed...so many homes are up for sale! 😢
