Can you get Corona twice or are you immune? Like chicken pox. Since its mutated twice, and that means there are now two different strands, can you be immune to one and not the other? Like flu A & B. I'm just curious if anybody knows the answer or has heard anything regarding the subject.

They are saying it's possible especially if you only get a mild case or are not completely over it and reexpose yourself.

They honestly don't know for sure yet.
Because of it's close relation to existing viruses they believe you will have some immunity that will weaken over time.
But that will still be better than having zero antibodies.

Like what happened when the first H1N1 spread in 1918

@M1cha3lo0o : it's an animal virus and is not close relation to any human virus, that's the problem. So, it cant be "similar". They have to come up with a whole new way to fight it. Our bodies dont have the ability to fight an animal virus. Its completely foreign to our system. That's why it's such a problem. That's why I'm wondering if we are immune or not.

@HukinFish : All our bodies have to do is make antibodies that will stick to the crowns that bond to our AEC2 reptors, and that will effectively give us a resistance to the virus.
They are actively testing people now to find people who have fought off the virus and currently have developed antibodies.

@M1cha3lo0o : Think they will find the bat gene that started it? Could people start turning into Batman? That would be a great comic book series.

I have heard you can. Remember that when you get Chicken Pox it stays in your body forever. Shingles is a different form of Chicken Pox.
