It's my understanding the mask is only effective if you've had the proper training to know how to wear it. If you have facial hair it's ineffective.

Wow....I have a hot commodity then. I bought a box full a month ago for when our little moo came home for those people that wanted to kiss all over him. (Step away from the newborn!!)
Grandma note: wash your hands and don't come over if you are drippy, sneezy or wheezy.

I'm conflicted about the masks that only covers your nose and mouth but your eyes are still a source. So can a mask really protect you?

I told my Dd I bet this gear was in her future. --she is a nurse. The hospital has mentioned this fsce shield while discussing this virus. So many different theories are hitting us both the eyes. It was brain goggling. Companies are really jacking up the prices. If they drop the price on the item, get ready to be screwed for shipping. The highest shipping was $350 --not super fast delivery, There was no arrival target date mentioned. I was so **** off, annoyed and disgusted, I clicked out before screen shooting.

@Fiona : Medical safety glasses - goggle type for total eye coverage. The side shield might be enough.

This entire Coronavirus is crazy. If you check, the people dying from it are either elderly or very young with weak immune systems. The same people who would probably die from the common flu.
I may be naive, but I think it's getting way blown out of proportion.

Here's an interesting article...
In it, the CDC says masks are only for infected people to contain droplets when they cough. They said masks will not help healthy people.

@The Sicilian : Yes! I was just talking about this with my dad. For anyone that doesn't have compromised immune systems, the coronavirus is basically just a cold that's gotten its hands on a steroid. It's not THAT bad, and more people die from the flu worldwide every year than what's been recorded of the coronavirus. I just don't like how easily people get freaked out and media utilizes that to gain money from views.

@eighteen : The Doctor's today said that the masks are not effective at all and that the big E95 one hardly is. They said those are only for people who work in the health field's for keeping out other diseases. But of course Trump said "They're working! The masks are working people are ok" . He is being incredibly ignorant of the facts.
