As chatty as I am on here, I am not that way when I first meet people initially. If there was ever an ADC meetup and I attended, I'd mostly just sit and listen until probably someone directly asked me something. And then I'm a pretty quiet talker on top of that LOL You guys would be like "What?? What did she say???"

I am the same online as I am in person. If you came up to me in person and told me your handle on ADC I would throw my arms up and hug you.

I am pretty much the same online as in person, maybe a bit more opinionated in person if I know you LOL! I tend to be pretty funny, I am also fun (there's a difference) have alot of friends, although they don't live here. My friends vary in ages, like if I worked with you and you are 30 years younger than me, you might still want to hang out. Many of my friends have known me since Jr. High, some even since Kindergarden. I can offer good sound motherly advice, or find a way to hook you up with that guy you like if I think he's safe. I was a wild young one, but always loyal and loving. If you have ever been my friend you always will be, unless you do something terrible to me. I would be the icebreaker if you're in the corner.

@chasinghosts : This is me as well, just about word for word. I've lived here for over 43 years and still have friends from when we were the first kindergartners at the Oaks Elementary School when they opened their doors for the first time. I'm still best friends with one I met in Atascocita middle school and I keep her goofy butt straight. While I'm shy to a degree, I enjoy my time with most people who don't mind the likes of me.

I fluctuate a lot depending on what is going on.

Some spells when stuff is needing done I am quite and barely acknowledge people with a nod. When I am spiderwebbing out I need to stay focused.

When I am not actually engaged in a project I am firing off several onliners in a row making people shoot coffee out their nose.

Sometimes i can be a procedure nazi. Somethings are the right way and somethings are the wrong way.
I tend to seperate life into to two groups. The rules of life which always matter ( math, science, and biology, etc... ) and man's rules which only matter in the eyes of the current society and change from generation to generation ( art, language/grammar, history, etc... ).
I also try to never lock myself into absolutes when speaking because that is the fastest way to be proved wrong on something.

Single father who raised 4 kids ( and et told I talk like it, still say potty ) and have had to babysit way too many adults in the past decade or two ( and get told i talk like it ).

And I spend too much time observing things on which processes were used to create them and why they were designed that way. 🙃

@Andi7 : So glad someone on here is like that besides me and a few others I know about. Even though I'm a Nonna , I'm still young at heart and have led a very full life and lean towards people who are similar but not necessarily the same.

I'm pretty much the same as on here. I can talk to anyone and enjoy the conversation. We sat at the bar at the new Tx Roadhouse Friday and I talked to this nice couple and could be great friends. I told my DH I was going to start going and sit in the bar because everyone was so friendly even the staff.

I am usually shy at first. I like to listen to the convo first to gauge people. I moved around a lot as a kid, so I don't really have any childhood friends. This is the longest I have ever lived anywhere in my 52 yrs. I've been here since 2003.
I like being helpful and positive. Life is hard enough, why argue about things online, where you will not change anyone's opinions? I do like to learn about things I may not believe in, but not argue about it. I do not like people that hide behind the keyboard, so I'd like to think I'm the same in person as on here.
