Green iguanas are not native to Florida and are considered to be an invasive species due to the damage they can cause to seawalls, sidewalks, and landscape plants

In Grand Cayman a couple of years ago they became so abundant, the government sponsored a culling program paying $5 for each dead iguana turned in. They were targeting the removal of 1.6 million lizards.

My friend had an iguana that escaped. They found him frozen in a tree, then thawed him out in the oven...and he was completely fine after. ; )
