@eighteen : as far as I know, they've not been accused by anyone of anything. Tipping pitches is the fault of the pitcher and fair game.

Signs, Signs, everywhere there's signs...Pointing out the next pitch, drive it home tonight...Swing now, don't swing there, can you see the signs?

I was at a game a few years ago, maybe 2017, can't recall exactly when. But there was definitely cheating going on during the visiting team at-bats. Because 3 teenage-looking females sat behind me, and with every pitch, they yelled:
Hey batta,batta,batta, batta,batta,batta-SWING batta.
How is this not cheating?

@ParksideRes : Stealing signs happens every game at every stadium at every level by players and coaches. The accusation here is that the Astros organization setup a camera in the outfield at Minute Maid which aided in the sign stealing. A big no-no....

We were watching the MLB Tonight guys chatting about it, and they all seemed to think the whole "scandal" is BS. Sign "stealing" is part of the game, has always been party of the game, and every team does it, or attempts to do it, some might be better than others. The other team might be really bad at hiding things- that's their problem.....be more crafty. Part of the game is to take any advantage that is available. Also, as others have pointed out, in 2017, the Astros did not have the best home record.....they were better on the road. Also, they were already investigated for this very thing and were cleared. This was 2 years ago, get over it. If this was really going on, does anyone think they would have really lost every single WS home game? Carlos Beltran (who attested that the Astros didn't do anything illegal) has a lot on the line go on the record and lie about anything. Mike Fiers is a has-been, bitter baby, who probably used pine tar. Can you really trust a guy who did this to his own face?

I just hate that our guys (who have hearts of gold) are having all of this controversy thrown on them. Even though I can't stand the Patriots, I guess I now know how their fans feel.

@Littlegoo : Well said. We watched our LL coaches always give signs and change them because the other team "stole" them. Coaches taught us why they would change all signs. It was always part of the game.

@Littlegoo : If Mike had a issue with it he could have gone to MLB with it years ago. My guess is he is sore about not getting to play in World Series. Seriously he needs to give the ring back if he thinks it's a tainted championship.

Is it just me or do the videos seem doctored?

I'm not saying the Astros weren't involved in some shenanigans but I'm having a hard time believing that they were banging on trash cans loud enough for the batter to hear but not loud enough for the catcher, pitcher, first baseman and umpires to hear over and over.At the end of the day they may have gained some advantage just like every other team does. Maybe they were a little more aggressive than others...but this isn't exactly the Penn State Jerry Sandusky scandal.

Just wait until Bregman wins the MVP and the Astros will have swept the awards........all hell will break loose even more. People just cannot accept that the sucky Astros (from 2012-2014) have emerged into a power house.I hate that this is casting a shadow over our wonderful city and amazing players. I mean even JJ Watt isn't immune to idiotic witch hunters (remember the people that went out and claimed that he stole all of the Harvey money?)There is no solid proof, the Astros have not been fined. That cannot be said of either the Red Sox or the Yankees, who probably are the ones that started all of this crap, and Mike Fiers decided to jump on the bandwagon to make himself relevent somehow. This is going to backfire on him big time, because what team is going to want a guy that breaks "baseball code"?
