This is a topic I've thought about before...Currently, for most humans in developed countries there's burial and cremation...
With burial, the body takes up a space and just stays there until it will ultimitely be dug up and relocated...And that WILL eventually happen, don't kid yourselves...It may take a thousand years but it will eventually happen, "progress" will make sure of it...There just won't be enough space for the billions of bodies to take up...
With cremation, the body is burnt to ash...Smaller space, but will have to be passed down from care-taker to care-taker or buried/entombed somewhere that will eventually get moved for the same reason as above...
But the one thing both of these methods don't do is to return nutrients back to the earth...As we grow, we take nutrients from the earth and use them to create energy and maintain our bodies through our food source...Doesn't matter if it's meat or vegs, it still traces back to the earth...If we never return nutrients, we're basically "takers" and contributors to a depleated earth in the long run...
So, this is probably not a bad idea, IMO...
