When are you going to decorate for fall? I've seen on ND where some have already started! It's exciting but I'm not feeling it yet!

I'm not, but my wife will probably start mid September with Halloween stuff and October for Fall which some of that crap transitions to Thanksgiving crap and then Christmas crap starts creeping in to the mix around Thanksgiving. The house returns to normal in January as the Valentines Day, Spring and Easter crap is all on a much smaller scale.

@West-Tex :
Probably about the 2nd week of September. After Labor Day I start feeling Halloweeny. But, I've downsized considerably from 4 large totes of decor to 1 box and a couple of bags. This year I ordered a black tablecloth and some orange placemats. We'll see how that looks.

@West-Tex: About mid-October, hang a fall wreath on front door. Change dining room table centerpiece to something fall-colored. Done! On Halloween, late afternoon, put up a few lights on bushes w/spooky-themed walkway lights. Take down and put away all Halloween decor as we turn house lights off for the night. This practice is a carryover from growing up in Philly where last minute decorating was necessary to avoid pumpkins from being trashed on Mischief Night! All general fall decor stays up until Black Friday!

I'm with @CarolS .....After Labor Day....I usually drag my *** and don't get them up until the last week of Sept or sometimes even the first week in Oct.....However, a good early "cold front" has been known to motivate me....

@West-Tex: Martha Stewart recommended changing the air in your tires to something with pumpkin spice aroma for fall. And then in December, change the air to a festive pine scent! LOL!
@West-Tex: Thanks for the Halloween decor timing tip! Saw lots of scary things for sale already in our local stores!
I might get going on looking for all the stuff is or decide to go get some new stuff. I have way more stuff for Christmas than fall. I really need to paint my front door so maybe paint it fall, then red, then ?
Happy decorating !!!
