@Luckysis : I found that if I don't walk enough during the day mine flares up when I in bed. So I try to get some extra steps in or squats before bed. Compression socks help a lot also if its keeping me from sleeping. Not really supposed to sleep with them on so don't make it a habit.

@Luckysis : The wife gets it real bad. She has this foul tasting juice that helps relieve the pain. I tasted it and it was like real strong pickle juice. Well that made sense...told her to drink the juice out of the pickle jars. I usually save all our pickle juice for later sipping on it every now and then.

@Luckysis : My wife does and she recommends a warm bath, magnesium and Hilands Restless Leg Syndrome pills on Amazon. Limit caffeine intake later in the day. Her advice -

Restless leg syndrome. Does anybody experience this? I'm about to lose my mind right now.

@Luckysis : I don't have trouble with that per se, but I have had the most horrible charlie horse (muscle spasm) in my calf one night. It was so bad that I literally had to grab a wash cloth and bite down on it so I wouldn't wake everybody in the house with my screaming. I ended up walking it out but not without a ... lol ... wash cloth stuffed in my mouth and tears running down my face. After that event, I purchased some of that Theraworx Relief Muscle (Cramp and Spasm Relief Foam) at CVS (about $20). It contains magnesium sulfate. I was glad that I purchased some as it worked for me the next time that happened. I keep it by the bedside even though I don't get those muscle spasms very often, but when I do, I am prepared. I don't know if this would work on restless leg syndrome or not?

I have experienced it rarely. Potassium may help. Various vegetables and fruits contain it but the most direct source is potassium chloride sold as salt substitute in the spices aisle.

I should have included this in my post above...For those suffering from it, an iron supplement may help....As always, consult your physician first....

@Luckysis : When I get this I "beat it into submission" as my DH would say. We have tile floors so I would be sitting on the sofa and I slam my bare feet on the tile repeatedly for 20 to 30 minutes. Hints to why it's called "beat it into submission". Emoticon

Edit to add, it hurts so good.

@Luckysis :
No, but lately I have been getting bad cramps on my legs more on the calf to my foot, ugh it's only for a few seconds but the pain of the cramps are unbearable and it only happens at night when I'm asleep. I don't exercise nor do I walk much don't know if that has to do anything with it.

@Cowboys81 : That happens to me too. I take potassium and it seems to help. Also make sure you're drinking enough water. Those cramps are painful!!
