Yes! So glad the cool weather got here. Last night it was humid and gross. Got the windows open today.

@Luckysis : My electric bill was $350.00 ouch so glad to see the change.

@TODD-3465 : Ouch is right . Do you have double pane windows ? We changed all windows some time after 2010 & it made a big difference in our bill . And I had windows that had never been opened before so there is no reason for us to purchase operable windows which cost more than just panes of glass . So in my living Rm & other area's I only have 2 windows that open in each room .

@bbk : i was a little irritated because my bill was close to $100 this month. I would die if it was $300+!!

@TexanFan1 : I have a 2 story home with 2,500 square feet. And I leave my temp at 76 degrees all day.

@TODD-3465 : I'm a 1 story 2500 sq Ft. But it's built with 2x6 boards instead of 2x4s. 2 extra inches of insulation helps a ton!!

@TexanFan1 : What year was your house built and did you pay extra for what you just mentioned?

@TODD-3465 : 2010. It was an inventory home. So I didn't make that choice. It was already built.

@TexanFan1 : I like my house really cold so I'm ok paying more then $100 but the new windows really brought the bill down . And I was thrilled to get rid of the old windows with Mullins. These are so easy to clean . And your not looking out a little pane of glass your entire window is 1 big piece of glass .

@bbk : Thank you. I plan to sale my house soon, so I'm not trying to put more money into the house.

When we had the house built we put cool ply in the attic, the difference was great!
I had solar screens put on my house later which helped. Two story, 2500 sq ft and never paid over 220 a month. Also a pool.

@carol888 : Wow, how much was the solar panels. Can you send me the phone number for them? I am interested.

@TODD-3465 : Screens not panels. Way to long ago. Probably a fireman from here. They do side jobs and I knew a lot of them.
