I don't recall every seeing a fire being worked there. Just demolition

Saw it yesterday. No barrier fencing or at least caution tape around the rubble. Pretty unsafe and not standard.
I assume it was victim to the 1960 widening project.

Thank you, Jesus! That check cashing place moved into it years ago and never did an ounce of maintenance...it looked horrid. That place was a blackeye on our community, not only for the state of disrepair, but also for the type of business it was.

@Sammee : I believe this business has moved on down 1960 to the parking lot where Coaches used to be.

I saw it coming down, but was driving and did not stop to take a picture. Yea it is gone!

Now if they could get that shopping center behind it renovated.. as it also looks pretty terrible

Aw man, not CVS. That's my pharmacy....it's close and 24 hrs. I think @ParksideRes has previously posted a map of the expansion?? I can't find it.

I saw them tearing it down & was happy to see it go . All these old strip centers need a re-do bad .

I hear you and agree, however, we got to watch it, re-do's mean significant rent increases, some of the establishments are barely making it right now, probably lose a lot of them.

What else is going due to street widening? Guessing they're taking the south side of the street property?...

@cador : And I agree with you also . DH just finished saying Sears,Penny's , & all the other business out there have got to be suffering from everyone buying from Amazon . Our 2 daughters get everything they possibly can from Amazon .
