Bread Pudding
Put this together last night and let it set up in the fridge overnight. First time I've ever made a savory bread pudding! This one had spicy sausage, sauteed mushrooms and onions, baby spinach, and grated gruyere and merlot cheeses. Sourdough for the bread cubes. Then you just pour the custard over the top (whipped eggs/half and half) like a regular bread pudding, cover and let sit overnight, pop in the oven for an hour the next morning...perfect brunch! A little arugula salad on the side...
Highly recommend this for feeding a crowd! Making it on Christmas Eve to bake on Christmas morning would be awesome. 👍
