One of my Canadian friends posted something earlier about the "No Kings" Day. I had to inform her that in the USA we have no kings since 1776... asked her about how her King is doing...

With this president it seems to me when the Democrats are the majority, they spend most of the people's time trying so hard to take him down. I have a real problem with that kind of power in Congress. It's such a waste.

Nobody considers him a wanna be king, more of an authoritarian. He has removed all pretense to standing up to putin.

But regardless, even if it were a maga rally. Still support people's right to assemble, even if you don't agree with them.

ParksideRes : in my day, going awol earned you 30 days in the brig and a bad conduct discharge.

I'm not debating that he earned some time in the brig, and a discharge, but not the continued solitary. Just my 2 cents.

The purpose of the violated ucmj code is to prevent military from appearing to be politically biased.

Want to debate the crossing of that line by the current senior leaders?

I read more. Tribunal said he must be held before court marshall due to release violations. He's at a civilian detention center and military rules dictate he cannot be with convicts or civilians. That leaves loneliness.

#msg2210454yes, but punishment before conviction must h be consistent with penalty of conviction; solitary confinement isn't on the list for a minor crime. Kick his *** out, demote him, or 60 days in the brig.
