you got those 'hey i was thinking about you so i am reaching out' kind of relationships and they are easily differentiated from those 'hey i haven't heard from you , but i am now because i need something' type of relationships ? that bugs me

Yes. My youngest son does that. So innocent, acting like he was wondering how I am doing, since he hadn't heard from me in a little bit. Just checking in ... blah, blah, blah. By the way, are you busy two weekends from now? I need a sitter. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
