Position Desired: Reading/Writing Tutor

Are you looking to help your child improve their literacy skills in reading and writing? As a local educator of more than 10 years, I have worked with various grade levels in reading and writing up to grades 8. I have a bachelors and masters degree and am currently working on a doctorate in Educational Leadership.I have also trained at Columbia Universities Teacher's College embracing Lucy Calkins organic methods to learning and thought development.

With a passion to enhance and successfully support reading and writing, I have worked as an educator, literacy interventionist, professional development staff trainer and district reading/writing trainer. I am currently looking for 8-10 students in grades 3-5 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays to be part of an in-home tutorial cohort that is data driven, specifically aligned to district curriculum.

As an educator, my success ratio with regard to standardized assessments is impeccable, yet it is the whole child and ability to think in-depth about literature and the writing process that is the primary focus of my instruction!
