Position Desired: Part Time IT Support

Cover Letter:
I am currently a volunteer at the Kingwood Medical Center, PAT Department. I assist the nurses in this department in their daily duties, including checking in patients. I have become the resident computer expert writing MS Excel macros, performing data entry duties and diagnosing malfunctioning computers and printers. I have been a volunteer at the hospital for approximately 8 months.

My background includes years of being the ‘go-to’ guy when computers malfunctioned. This includes providing technical PC support to the Saint Louis University hospital, O.R. department, and providing help-desk support to Cutler-Hammer in Pittsburgh, PA.

I have worked for the MIS Department for ALCOA in Pittsburgh. This support included being a field engineer for the Cii global computer deployment. This involved my getting a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designation. I traveled 80-90% of the time, visiting 15 countries over a three year period.

During my last years in the U.S. Navy I worked in the MIS department for the Naval Medical Clinic at Pearl Harbor. There I providing desktop computer support, DataPoint equipment repair and maintenance and new computer deployment.

I am seeking a desktop computer support position in the Atascocita area. Full time or part time hours appeals to me. Pay in the $10 to $15 per hour range is fine.
