Surgeon TLC is looking for experienced surgeons but not necessarily high volume. We have a surgeon training program that can quickly get you up to speed if you have the basic skillset. Our surgeons perform between 30 to 40 animals per shift. Some clinics look for higher numbers. We are always concerned with staff burnout, and we feel this is a respectable number to advance animal welfare while not overwhelming the staff. This position has very little interaction with the public. The technicians do check in and the only time the Veterinarian interacts with a client is if there is an extreme situation.
